Who We Are
We’re Chad, Liz, and Reid — and we have a problem with haunted places.
We’re the Palmer family — a family of five based in Gilbert, Arizona. Chad and Liz handle the logistics, the driving, the cameras, and the sleep deprivation. Our youngest, Reid, handles the enthusiasm. He genuinely loves everything paranormal, and honestly, he’s probably the reason we keep booking these trips.
Our two older boys, Jack and Ben, have busy lives of their own — but they join us when they can, and we’ll include them whenever they do. This is a family thing, even when not everyone makes the trip.
We’re not professional ghost hunters. We’re just a family that keeps finding ourselves drawn to old buildings, forgotten towns, and places with stories that haven’t been fully told yet.
Where It Started
It started with a trip to Jerome. It hasn’t stopped since.
A few years ago, we made our first trip to Jerome, Arizona — a small mountain town with a big reputation. Jerome was once one of the wildest, most lawless copper mining towns in the West. Today it’s one of the most documented paranormal destinations in the state. We went to see what the fuss was about.
We’ve been back multiple times since. Jerome is one of our favorite places on earth, and we’ll be writing about every trip — including the older ones — because the town keeps giving us something new every time we show up.
That first trip cracked something open for us. We started paying attention to the history of the places we visited, not just the ghost stories. And we realized the two things are almost always the same story.

Every hotel we review is one we booked ourselves. Every piece of gear we write about is something we’ve actually used on an investigation. We don’t take payment from venues in exchange for coverage, and we don’t write things up just because they make a good story.
Each post covers the history of the location, our photos from the trip, anything we experienced while we were there, and a straight answer on whether we think it’s worth your time.
