Real overnight stays at haunted hotels. Every review comes from a night we booked and paid for ourselves, with anything we couldn’t explain.
Arizona is one of the most underrated haunted-hotel states in the country, and unlike most roundups, we’ve actually slept in several of these. Here are the haunted hotels in Arizona worth booking for Halloween, from the Prescott three we’ve reviewed to the ones still on our list.
We’ve now stayed at all three of Prescott’s big haunted hotels. Here’s the honest ranking of the Hotel Vendome, the Hotel St. Michael, and the Hassayampa Inn, broken down by paranormal activity, historic character, room quality, food and amenities, location, and ghost story strength. Plus which one to actually book for your trip.
Our one-night stay at the Hassayampa Inn in Prescott. Room 319 on the third floor, one floor below Faith’s Grand Balcony Suite. First real field investigation with our new Ovilus and Dead Bell. The Palace callout, the bathroom-story reaction, and what we make of it.
The history of the Hassayampa Inn in Prescott, the Faith Summers ghost story, the Night Watchman, and what we wanted to know about Room 426 and the 1927 community-built landmark before our stay.
Our one-night stay at the Hotel St. Michael in Prescott. Spirit box voices that woke up when we asked about Room 325. A door that wouldn’t lock for one of us. Voices localized to the bathroom. A morning app session that surfaced ‘bailiff’ across the street from a courthouse. An honest field report from one room over.
The history, the gargoyles, and the third-floor paranormal claims at Hotel St. Michael in Prescott. Everything we wanted to know about Whiskey Row’s haunted cornerstone before our stay.
We spent the night in Abby’s Room at Hotel Vendome in Prescott. Brought cat toys, set up a camera, ran a spirit box. Here’s what actually happened.
